The Cambridge Centre for Ageing and Neuroscience (Cam-CAN) is an interdisciplinary research project that aims to further our understanding of human ageing. The project uses data from a range of sources to better understand changes in cognitive and neural functioning across the lifespan, and to understand how we can best retain cognitive abilities into old age.
Over 30 researchers at the University of Cambridge and beyond have contributed to the project, helping to develop a picture of adult development that integrates epidemiological, demographic, psychological, physical, and neurological data.
